He is an accomplished professional with a strong background in operations and logistics, as well as a rich academic career. He holds degrees from two prestigious institutions in India: the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. He began his professional journey at Rourkela Steel Plant, where he worked as an Operations Shift Incharge. He then moved to United Phosphorus Limited, where he specialized in production planning. His career further advanced at Gujarat Glass and Lafarge India Ltd, where he was responsible for logistics and distribution planning. Over an 11.5-year span in the industry, he gained extensive experience in managing various manufacturing processes and logistical functions. After his successful industry tenure, he transitioned to academia 16 years ago. Since then, he has been dedicated to sharing his vast knowledge and expertise with students, helping to shape the next generation of leaders and professionals.
