About ISB&M Kolkata Library
Welcome to the International School of Business & Media Kolkata Library. The college library is well-equipped with large number of textbooks, reference books, periodicals, journals and newspapers. The number of books in the library at present is around 6356. The library also receives 16 printed journals in specialized areas. It consists of a reading hall, an internet browsing centre with high-speed internet/WiFi facility. It has a reference section to open access periodicals, access to digital library, OPAC, and Business Standard subscription facilities. It provides document scanning, reprography, access to multimedia services, newspaper archives as some of the important and popular services to the users.

New Arrivals
At ISB&M, the library sends notification for new updates in the list of books/journals through e-mail. As a result, the users of the library are aware of the new arrivals in the books and journals sections of the library.
Digital Library
The library has set up a separate multimedia browsing facility in the reading hall. It has 10 computer systems with all updated, modern facilities. Users can surf the internet, listen and watch academic/information related audios & videos as per their need and convenience. The library is automated with AutoLib Software to provide ease to its clientele, at various levels, while in the library. Apart from this, the users can also browse the parent library through web OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) and even subscribed electronic databases.
E-Journals
Library OPAC
The Online Public Access Catalogue OPAC is a facility of the AutoLib software where students/faculties can access the availability of a specific resource in the library by browsing OPAC from any computer/laptop within the premises of the ISB&M Kolkata. Users can browse books/magazines/CDs /DVDs /projects and ensure if they are available in the library or issued. OPAC has made it easy to take the library o the users’ desktop/laptop/smartphones and provide spontaneous service to the Users.
RULES & REGULATION
- All the users entering the library must keep their bags and other belongings at the entrance and sign in the Register at the checkpoint. Do not leave any valuables at the Check Point.
- Bags, Umbrella, Personal Books and other items are not allowed inside the library.
- Identity Card is compulsory for getting access to the library.
- Students should produce their identity card while borrowing books as well.
- Students on receiving the books should check their physical condition, as they will be held responsible for any damage upon submission.
- Silence should be strictly maintained in the library.
- Mobile phones and other devices likely to cause disturbance should not be used in the library premises.
- Any form of misbehaviour in the library is strictly prohibited.
- Users are requested to co-operate in maintaining a conducive atmosphere to study.
- The reading materials, available in the library are very precious, rare and, also irreplaceable. Please handle them with utmost care.
- The library books/Journals should not be marked or scribbled upon. Defaulters will be fined heavily, equivalent to the buying value of the book.
- Students/Users are expected to leave the library premises only after all required formalities are completed.
- Students/Users are advised against issuing book on someone else's library card.
- Food & Beverages are not allowed inside the library.
- Library reserves the right to call back any issued book/item at any time.
- All students are advised to come to the library in appropriate clothing.
- Periodicals, Dictionary, Encyclopaedia, Project Reports, and Reference sources are to be referred within the library.
- Loss of books, if any, should be reported to the librarian immediately and it should be replaced with a new copy.
- When a member leaves the college, they should return all the books, issued from the library, without fail.
